David Everett Mabe enjoyed movies, cooking, fishing, gardening, art and any task using his hands. He was a family farmer by trade. His background as a firefighter and taking care of ailing family members humbled him in many ways. He had been a member of the Piedmont Triad Paranormal Investigations team since 2013. David's interest in the paranormal started roughly around the time his mother was living in Maryland and she worked at the Point Lookout Lighthouse. Point Lookout lighthouse has a rich history of paranormal activity and his mother was a firm believer in the paranormal. They both enjoyed watching the paranormal shows and talked frequently on the subject. David was very curious as to how things worked, scientifically, metaphysically and even naturally. His interest in history and historical facts made him a very important part of the team. He was kind and very compassionate towards clients as well as towards his team mates. Always up for a challenge and was there to help whenever possible. David leaves behind his beloved Lab “Sasha”.
As in life, David is also in death STILL a huge part of PTPI. He is and always will be an inspiration leaving a legacy of true dedication, loyalty and compassion for the clients, his teammates and the afterlife. We know now we are never alone because you are always with us David! RIP dear brother...we love and miss you more than you know.
